    SUMMER 2018 NEWSLETTER

Welcome to the 2nd quarterly newsletter of the Northern California Chapter of the Society of Critical Care Medicine.   The images above reflect the joys and challenges that some of our members have experienced this season.  Our Chapter represents a large area where critical care practitioners  provide care to over 15 million people (more than the individual population of 46 states).  Despite the geographical challenges, our chapter is dedicated to networking with practitioners throughout the area and we hope to provide education and website enhancements in the coming months to facilitate this.  As such, please see the information on our upcoming FCCS course , which will offer provider as well as instructor training (for those who wish to present this course at their home setting in 2019).  Chapter members with experience teaching the course will be able to provide technical assistance if desired.  Also, we will be having an educational dinner and meeting on Wednesday, October 24th (details below).  Finally, later this year the chapter will be having elections for new officers and this will be a great time to join, sign up for a committtee or suggest an activity for the chapter.

    Best wishes,

    Drs. Janice Manjuck, Jake Adams
